The One Post-Jam Update


Hi, like the previous Raylib jam, there's a few things I wanted to do before putting the project on the shelf.

  • Enable and make my smoke shader work properly, which does violate the original 8-colours-only constraint of the jam
  • Rebalance the spiders after fixing a silly bug with the lasers emitted for the 2nd and 3rd stage guns
  • Some improvements to spider behaviour and animation
    • Most notably making their legs sometimes pick a landing spot that isn't thin air
    • Still lots that could be done of course, but I think they are much improved over the first version

At the time of writing, the judging is still ongoing so I will have to upload this new version after that is over. Until then, only the YouTube video shows it off.
